Medieval German Folk Song:

The hunter stood beside me
Who blew that mighty horn;
I saw that he was hunting
The gentle unicorn ----
But the unicorn is noble,
He knows his gentle birth,
He knows that God haschosen him
Above all the beasts of earth

The unicorn is noble;
He keeps him safe and high
Upon a narrow path and steep
Climbing to the sky;
And there no man can take him,
He scorns the hunters dart,
And only a virgin's magic power
Shall tame his haughty heart.

UNICORN GROVE

At first glance, the pure white creature looks very much like a horse. It has the same build, a mane and tail. But then we see a single golden horn growing out of the creatures head. It is then when we realize the creature is not a horse but a unicorn.

Images of unicorns are everywhere today.They can be found on mugs, towels, paintings, snowglobes and much more. Sometimes the unicorn is shown with others but more often is shown alone.

But do these heavenly creatures exist? Who can say they ever didn't? I, personally, think they still live on the island of Avalon with Morgan Le Fay and King Arthur and Dragons and will one day return when the time is right. Nowadays, though, so many people lose the magic. They don't believe in these lovely creatures.

What about you? Do you believe?
Imagine:
You are walking down a path in the woods. Up ahead you see a clearing with figures playing. You go closer and closer and the figures turn into horses then unicorns. You hide in the bushes watching them play. The clearing is so beautiful. Multi-colored flowers everywhere. Red and white roses, pink carnations, dark purple irises, and many others. It's so peaceful. You sit there afraid that if you move you might disturb the peace. You start drifting to sleep, lulled by the soft music of the unicorns. Hours later you wake. It is dark and the unicorns are gone. You wait through the next day hoping the unicorns will come back. But they don't. You begin to wonder if it all weren't a dream. A faint smile crosses your lips. "No" you think. "It was all real and I was lucky enough to see it." You continue on the way you were going. Behind you when you cannot see, a lone unicorn goes back to the valley to play.

Go back

The unicorns have seen people here.
